Spring Button Bracelet

Spring is here!  The birds are singing.  Children are riding their bikes again.  The neighborhood squirrels are back to taunting my dog.  I'm sorry, Kya.  Strawberries are in season!  Can anyone say Strawberry-Rhubarb Pie?

My tulips and daffodils are blooming and it's bracelet making time!

Ladies, it's time to shed those heavy sweaters and show some skin!  I love wearing bracelets because unlike earrings and necklaces, I can enjoy seeing them while I'm wearing them.  Honestly, there are times I can't even remember what earrings I put on for the day because I only caught a glimpse of them in the morning.  It must be time to add brain teasers or gingko to my daily routine.

I love using buttons in jewelry; especially in bracelets.  This particular bracelet reminds me of the first blooms of spring.  Pink and purple hyacinths, red tulips and happy, yellow daffodils are all represented here.
This button is from my friend, Lisa Stephens.  She has a passion for buttons and a great eye for finding rare and unique ones, too.  I'll be posting more jewelry made using her fabulous buttons.

I hope this inspires you to take out that button box and start digging for treasures for your next project!
